Okay, you’re right. Nothing is free. However, if there is a guitar that you would like for me to build for you, I will do that for whatever it costs me; materials only. There will be no charge for my time and expertise (or lack of). I’m not trying to make a profit. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn. All I ask in return is an honest review of my work that I can post on this website as a testimonial.
As I have said, this is a hobby for me. I can only do this in my spare time. I have a career and a family that occupy most of my time. I can’t guarantee any deadlines but I will build it for you for what it costs me to buy the materials in the time that I have available. I enjoy this process and want to continue learning when I can.
I’ll make you the same deal with guitar set up. It is still a process that I am learning but I get a little better at it each time I do it. I won’t be able to diagnose electrical issues or fix significant structural issues but I can adjust the neck, and bridge properly, fix minor fret issues and adjust the action to your liking.
There may come a day that I charge to build a guitar or to do set up but for now, I’m having fun learning a new craft.
